Structural Surveys – Planning

We undertake structural surveys of buildings, including redundant farm buildings to assess their suitability for conservation. The reports are prepared to help assist with the planning process to enable the building to be developed and include Part Q Planning Applications

Defect Analysis Reports

We can undertake inspections in relation to defects in a certain part of a property through to undertaking a building inspection of the whole property. This survey may focus on a particular issue such as damp, woodworm infestation or structural movement, rather than a cover-all survey.

Project Management

From property developments to office refurbishments through to conversions of existing buildings and new build projects we are able to assist in project management, repair and funding arrangements. This can include the preparation of schedules of work, issue of tender documents, negotiation with the selected contractors and drawing up the contract documents. As part of the project management process we will monitor both the quality and value of the work and issue instructions and validation certificates through to completion of the works.

CML Certificates

If you are undertaking a new build residential development or conservation project then we can offer a Professional Consultants Certificate in accordance with the Council of Mortgage Lenders' Handbook. The project will be inspected at key stages of the project from inception through to completion when a certificate will be issued. The certificate will cover the structural items of the property and will be in place for six years from the date of issue.
